Linocut Block Print “NOEL” in Gold Leaf
Designed as Christmas gifts for my clients from this past year.
This is one of two art prints that were part of this mailing.
PROCESS
1. Sketched rough drafts
2. Designed blackletter forms and embellishments with calligraphy pen
3. Recreated in Illustrator
4. Printed and transferred to mounted linocut block
5. Carved by hand
6. Inked with adhesive and black ink mix, transferred to hand-torn Neenah Eames Diffused Architecture paper, filled in gaps with adhesive using a brush
7. Applied gold leaf and sealant
